This policy explains what information Ball Metrics IQ collects, why we collect it, and how it is used and protected.

We collect the minimum information required to run accounts, deliver premium analytics and process subscriptions.

• Account information you provide directly.
• Subscription and billing status associated with your account.
• Product usage and analytics events.
• Device and connection information.

03Account Information

When you create an account we store your email address, display name, optional username, optional profile photo, and the timestamps and versions of the legal documents you accepted.

Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are stored as salted hashes. Ball Metrics IQ never sees your plaintext password.

04Subscription Information

We store your plan, subscription status, trial and renewal dates, founding-member status, and a reference identifier issued by our payment processor.

This lets us unlock premium features, honor grandfathered pricing and answer billing questions.

05Website Analytics

We collect aggregate usage information such as pages viewed, features used, and errors encountered, so we can improve models, performance and navigation.

Analytics data is used in aggregate and is not sold.

06Device Information

We may record browser type, operating system, screen size, approximate region derived from IP address, and referring page. This supports responsive layouts, fraud prevention and debugging.

07Cookies

Ball Metrics IQ uses cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme, table layouts and filter preferences, and to measure usage.

Essential cookies are required for authentication. You can block cookies in your browser, but signed-in features will not work without them.

08How We Use Information

• Authenticate you and secure your account.
• Deliver, personalize and improve analytics features.
• Process subscriptions, renewals and receipts.
• Send billing notices and, if you opt in, product and model update emails.
• Detect abuse, fraud and terms violations.
• Meet legal and tax obligations.

09Payment Information

Ball Metrics IQ does NOT store full credit card information. Payments are securely processed through Stripe.

Card details are entered directly with Stripe and never touch our servers. We receive only non-sensitive metadata such as card brand, last four digits, expiration month and year, and payment status.

10Third-Party Services

We rely on a small set of vendors to operate the platform. Each processes only the data required for its function.

• Stripe — payment processing, invoices and subscription management.
• Supabase — authentication, database and secure account storage.
• Sports data providers — official league feeds, statistical and odds data.
• Analytics providers — aggregate product usage measurement.

11Data Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls and row-level security so that account records are only readable by the account owner and authorized administrators.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.

12Data Retention

Account and subscription records are retained while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

When you delete your account, personal profile data is removed and remaining billing records are retained only where law requires.

• Access and review the personal information on your account.
• Correct your name, username, email and preferences from the account dashboard.
• Export or request a copy of your account data.
• Delete your account and associated profile data.
• Opt out of non-essential email at any time.

14Age Requirement

Ball Metrics IQ is intended only for users who are at least 21 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and accounts found to belong to someone under 21 may be suspended or terminated.

15Policy Updates

We may update this policy as the platform changes. The last-updated date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes require re-acceptance before continued access to premium content.
